Acceptable use policy
What you can and cannot send on Infrared. Violations result in immediate suspension and account review.
Last updated:
Permitted use cases
Verification codes (OTP, 2FA, passwordless login). Transactional alerts (order confirmations, shipping updates, appointment reminders, account events). Consent-based notifications where the recipient has explicitly opted in.
Prohibited content
Unsolicited marketing, phishing, fraud, impersonation of persons or companies, content promoting illegal activity, adult content without age verification, and anything that violates the recipient's local law — including but not limited to TCPA (US), PECR (UK), and ePrivacy (EU).
Consent & opt-out
Every campaign must be paired with a documented opt-in source. Opt-out instructions (STOP) are mandatory on marketing campaigns and enforced at the gateway. Sustained opt-out rates above 2% trigger automatic review.
Reporting abuse
If you received an Infrared-delivered SMS you believe violates this policy, contact @infraredsms on Telegram with the sender ID and message content. We investigate every report within 24 hours.
